Made in Japan, the Studio D’Artisan 7576 Leather Wallet is a celebration of traditional craftsmanship and materials chosen for longevity. The leather is sourced from a respected tannery in Tatsuno, Hyogo Prefecture—an area internationally recognized for its long-standing heritage in vegetable tanning. Using domestically produced natural leather (noume-gawa), the hides are tanned slowly with plant-based tannins, allowing the natural texture, firmness, and fiber strength of the leather to remain fully intact.
Each wallet is finished by hand with a carefully applied dye process that creates subtle variation in color and surface character. Rather than a uniform finish, the leather displays depth and nuance, giving every piece an individual presence. Offered in Brown and Black, both tones start with a rich, organic appearance that continues to evolve as the wallet is used.
Over time, daily handling softens the leather and brings out a gentle sheen, while the surface develops a patina unique to its owner.
