Part of Studio D’Artisan’s exclusive Extreme Denim capsule, these straight-leg jeans are a bold redefinition of rugged sophistication. Designed with a timeless mid-rise and regular straight cut, they strike the perfect balance between classic style and artisanal craftsmanship.

At the heart of these jeans is the standout 16oz Extreme Denim—one of the most remarkable fabrics we've encountered at Redcast. Developed through traditional Japanese dyeing and weaving techniques, the fabric showcases an incredible depth of character. The indigo warp threads are dyed using the age-old kasezome method, blending No. 6 slub and nep yarns to deliver an exceptionally textured and visually rich surface. This fabric is woven on vintage shuttle looms with relentless force, creating a pronounced unevenness and raw feel that’s unlike anything in conventional denim. Complementing the indigo warp, the weft features No. 5 super-slub yarns, amplifying the jeans’ rugged weight and tactile presence.

No detail is overlooked. These jeans are finished with custom copper buttons, hidden rivets, and reinforced with heavy-duty bar tacks for long-lasting durability. The herringbone pocket bags offer an extra touch of refinement, while the peek-a-boo selvedge coin pocket adds a nod to traditional craftsmanship. A thick, cowhide leather patch—stitched after a specialized tempi wash—reflects Studio D’Artisan’s unmatched commitment to perfection.

Fit Notes: Unlike other SDA jeans that tend to run small, this Extreme Denim model fits true to size. The jeans are crafted from unsanforized denim but have been pre-washed, so no additional shrinkage is expected. We still recommend consulting the size chart for optimal fit.
