Stevenson Overall Co. – Visalia 280
These five-pocket jeans are crafted with a double-needle lap seam, ensuring durability and a clean finish. The wide-legged silhouette is inspired by early work pants from the era when denim trousers were known as "waist overalls." Stevenson Overall Co. has modernized this classic design, making it the widest fit in their standard series—blending sophistication with everyday comfort.
Distinctive details include curved decorative stitching on the front pockets and W-shaped buckles, which serve both as reinforcements and unique design elements. The front placket is constructed as a continuous one-piece, a vintage workwear feature designed to prevent tearing at the crotch under stress. The back pockets are reinforced with separate fabrics, while the pocket linings use a different material for added strength. Unlike overlock-stitched seams, the inside leg seams are carefully folded inward, preserving the integrity of traditional denim craftsmanship.
Fabric & Construction
These jeans are made from a custom-produced 14oz. selvedge denim, woven from long-staple U.S. cotton. The fabric has a dry texture and is crafted on shuttle looms to replicate the character of vintage denim. Manufactured by Nihon Menpu Mills, the denim offers a rich, authentic feel that will develop a unique patina over time.
