A tapered fit with a higher rise, roomy thighs, and tapered legs. Our ARASHI fabric is our very first AIZOME fabric. It is very slubby and textured. It is a traditional Japanese dyeing method that is unrivalled. The slub yarn is individually selected and dipped in natural indigo by hand. The colour is a thing of beauty, a very light, yet deep blue. It is our most limited fabric as the production is slow and there are only a handful of Japanese craftsmen able to dye the fabric. No other denim requires this much manual labour. The yarns are then woven with ultra-low tension to pronounce the texture even more. At 18oz, this is definitely on the heavier side of things. The structure reminded us of a rising tempest, therefore we named it ARASHI which translated means storm. Only 80 pieces were ever produced worldwide.
