Fujihara documents 51 of the world’s most remarkable examples of 501 jeans, in collaboration with passionate collectors such as Naru Kawamoto, Nao Koshiba, Takashi Sanai, Naoto Baba, Yawara Miura, and Shigeki Wakiya, as well as the Levi’s Archive, which generously contributed to the project.
The pair shown here is a set of Levi’s 501XX from the early 1950s, part of the Second Sunrise archive — a true representation of denim history.
